To ensure the best possible results during the printing process, provide a design that measures 3.75" x 2.25". The finished size of your business card will be 3.5" x 2".
Bleed
To avoid an unwanted white border, drag all background content to the edges of your template. We’ll trim your business cards between the safe area and the bleed line.
Safe Area
To prevent content from being cut off during the printing process, keep all key text and logos inside this zone.
File Format & Resolution
When designing your business card, you may upload files in the form of a JPG, PNG or PDF. We recommend setting your document’s resolution to a minimum of 300 DPI and color mode of CMYK
Traditional business cards are available for same-day pickup, excluding Premium 16pt and Ultra Thick 34pt material. Specialty business cards are only available for delivery due to their distinctive finishes and paper stocks.
Speciality business cards offer a selection of elevated paper stocks and finishes, while our Traditional business cards are a great everyday option. Speciality business cards are available in smooth, laid or linen paper stocks which offer a premium look and feel.
Sign in to your Staples account, select Account and choose My Orders. Find the item you’d like to reorder and select Edit & Reorder. Need to reorder your same-day business cards? Visit the store that processed your order and speak to a print specialist about your options.
Custom quantities are not available. For bulk orders, speak to a print specialist in store about your options.
If you’re ordering same-day business cards, visit your local Staples and ask a print associate to print a sample of your submitted order.

Business cards
Business cards are available in traditional or specialty variations. Traditional business cards come in landscape or portrait orientation and offer the option to print on one or both sides. Choose from standard 14pt, premium 16pt or ultra thick 34pt material, and select a matte or gloss finish.
Specialty business cards also come in landscape or portrait orientation and offer the option to print on both sides. Choose from laid, linen or smooth paper stock, and select a white, ivory or gray paper color. Finish your cards by selecting flat or raised ink.
